* * Drill hole to a depth exceeding minimum embedment using a bit whose diameter is equal to the anchor. Holes should be drilled using a bit conforming to ANSI-B94. 12-77 Insert Thunderbolt into hole so that washer is flush with fixture to be fastened. Tighten nut 2 or 3 turns.
SELECTING THE PROPER LENGTH THUNDERBOLT
The selection of the proper length Thunderbolt depends upon the thickness of the material to be fastened and the minimum depth of anchor required in masonry for maximum holding power. Add the thickness of the material (A) and the recommended depth for the anchor diameter (B) to determine the correct length of anchor to be used.
